New start: Barcelona!

Already 2 weeks in BCN.

Job is ruling my little world now, and whether if I like it or not I had to move! Everything happened fast: 2 interviews, book the flight, internet househunting. Pretty hard this last one though! Pack the main stuff, a quick goodbye and... Mediterranean smell in my nose.

1st house... terrible! 7 rooms, many people, too many dirty plates, dirty bath, shall I continue? I´m not in the mood of students place anymore! Well, I never was in that way. Just the party thingy, being honest. So, real househunting this time.

Job?? One of the bigest hospitals in BCN. One of the things I like from it, is that it is located up in the north, more or less in the mountain, so when I get out of the underground I can smell the see perectly!!! My functions there? Still really don´t know exactly. I´m some kind of girl for everything I need: administration, clinical study coordinator, investigator... This last one, still to come. People around me, nice, young and some of them foreingners. One thing in common: we need to understand catalan language!!! Doctors try to speak in spanish but from time to time, well, quite frequently they continue talking in catalan so you have to change the language chip or you are lost!

I found many nice places to live in. Big house with nice terrace, big room with balcony, big room with colourful hose...but balancing room, hose and people living with I decided to get the small room, in a medium size house, with nice extras such as dishwasher and dryer, and a very friendly guy, Marc, who likes rock music and has this house decorated accordingly with this rock-metal stile. I mean skulls, sword in the wall... I hope I had done a nice selection. We´ll see...

This is the market which as nearby a sunday morning 2nd hand book street market

Back to job, I was invited to some conferences in a very beautiful village, Sitges. I had a nice catalan Fideua (but I prefer the Valencia one)

Catalan
Valencian

Well, anyway I had a nice time, I had a walk with some doctors from Porto (Portugal).

About my night life in BCN... still small. i went out with friends to a very nice place which give you real tapas, I mean free food when ordering drinks. That´s quite normal in Mad, but not here!!! And then we went to another one, and another one... too many beers, quite late, get up soon...impossible. And that´s basically it! Seems boring?? Well it is! Not easy to have friends as when you are studying, and not easy when you are moving from one place to another (city and neighborhoods)

Not many pics here, cuz I haven´t brought my camera. These are just from internet!

Miss u all!!!
